Meet The Team
Director, Clinical Research Operations
Celeste Crouse has more than 15 years experience and expertise in the daily management of clinical trials ranging from small single-site phase I to large multi-site phase IV trials. Project staff report directly to Ms. Crouse, who is responsible for the timely implementation and completion of each task, ensuring that they meet KAI’s high quality standards.
For ongoing clinical trials supported by KAI, Ms. Crouse coordinates the efforts of the clinical and data management teams and provides senior project management. She takes responsibility for planning and leading meetings and conference calls, coordinating all project activities, troubleshooting, and mentoring staff. She has coordinated all aspects of clinical studies from protocol development and site recruitment through final report preparation.
Ms. Crouse has managed numerous projects for the National Institutes of Health and both large and small pharmaceutical companies. She is currently the project manager for a Henry Jackson Foundation–funded study being conducted at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) examining behavioral therapy for military personnel who have attempted suicide.
Ms. Crouse is also the current co-project manager for KAI’s contract for the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS). She provides overall contract management, serves as the main contact for the NIAMS contract officer, and coordinates multiple Data and Safety Monitoring Boards (DSMBs). Thus, she is exposed to the most up-to-date scientific innovations, basic science, and clinical studies. Ms. Crouse also serves as a liaison between the principal investigators at grantee institutions and the NIAMS program staff. She reviews protocols, consent forms, manuals of operating procedures, and Data and Safety Monitoring Plans, and provides feedback to the study investigators.
Ms. Crouse received her bachelor of science degree from Towson University.
