12 years experience in the coordination of clinical and data management teams for
ongoing projects. She is a skilled manager who has worked on government and industry

Ms. Shugarts' interest and expertise focus on the design and implementation of data
management and data aggregation tools. Accomplishments include the development and

studies and the development of the accompanying central repository for data from
completed studies for both pediatric studies (NICHD). In addition, she has worked
in the design and development of Common Data Elements to enable investigators and
the funding institution to perform higher quality studies and allow for effortless
metadata analysis when studies are completed. She has led KAI teams to identify
and organize descriptor definitions and develop a dynamic database which serves
as a resource for cataloguing funded research.
